The Dream Water of the Cimarron River is among the finest private water fly fishing in the Southwest. Arrive at Cimarroncita's River Cabin on the morning of your scheduled “arrival day”, orient yourself to the River, check into your lodging and discover the Cimarroncita grounds and facilities. Our fishing guides transform a day on the river into a spectacular fly fishing experience. Your fly fishing adventure starts as soon as you are ready, fishing mornings and afternoons, with delicious meals served in Frijoles Dining Hall or on the banks of the Cimarron River. Your last ful day on the river ends with a white linen Cimarron River Cowboy Cookout, followed by a campfire and a stunning view of the night sky. Your departure day begins with “last catch” fishing in the morning, a late breakfast followed by a relaxed departure at mid-day.

Ed Adams has been fishing the waters of Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado for the past 30 years, and has been guiding for 17 years. His intimate knowledge and infectious enthusiasm have helped many anglers experience the best fishing the region has to offer. Equipment and supplies available through Ed Adams.

Rita Adams grew up fishing the New Mexico trout streams with her father, Ed, and has developed a special style and ability as a fishing guide. Now a guiding professional in her own right, Rita is in great demand and has traveled the world with fishing clients, exploring unique and faraway waters. None finer, though, than the waters of Northern New Mexico where she first learned the skill and excitement of fly fishing.

Doc Thompson has been stalking wild trout in Northern New Mexico's many gems for twenty years. Doc first discovered the lure of the Waters of Enchantment while backpacking the mountains of the Philmont Scout Ranch which neighbors Cimarroncita. Doc's patience and calm demeanor present a comfortable atmosphere for guiding anglers new to the sport as well as teaching experienced anglers new techniques. Doc is an Orvis endorsed guide and was honored to be selected as the 2006 Orvis Fly Fishing Guide of the Year. Equipment and supplies available thorugh Doc Thompson.

Wayne Thurber has been guiding fly fishing trips around northern New Mexico local waters for more than 15 years. Whether a first time fly fisherman or seasoned angler, Wayne takes care to be sure your fly fishing adventure is enhanced through his guiding and instruction. All equipment including rod, reel, flies, waders and boots are provided by Wayne.
